IBM Business Partner Innovation Center

For those of you who have visited PEAK’s corporate headquarters at 2750 West 5th Avenue in Denver, you’ve seen our Innovation Center, which is the cornerstone of our offices. What you may not realize is that you, our customers, have access to the resources in this Center and the ability to schedule time to utilize the technology for projects such as testing, benchmarks, proof of concept and conversion analysis.

Previously, one of our customers installed Linux on an IBM Blade, installed their application and ran a test for a few weeks to better understand how the application ran on IBM Blade technology. Another customer utilized PEAK’s Innovation Center technology to do a proof of concept of TSM running under AIX.  

Currently, PEAK has the following technology available in our Innovation Center; IBM System i520, System p520, IBM Bladecenter, IBM System x, IBM TotalStorage Storage Virtualization Controller, IBM TotalStorage DS6000 and DS4300, IBM TotalStorage 3582 Tape Library; IBM System i5 and p5 Virtualization and Logical Partitioning, IBM TotalStorage Manager, IBM Director, VMware – ESX, Vmotion and Virtual Center – P2V,  Red Hat Cluster Server, GFS, Satellite Server, Novell SuSE, IBM Websphere Portal, HATS, and Altiris Deployment Manager. As we have partnerships with BEA and Business Objects, we can also have this software ready for you for testing.

PEAK has recently expanded our innovation center equipment to include NetApp solutions. Visitors can explore FAS2020 and FAS2050 with SAS and SATA drives which allow PEAK to demo Snapshots, SnapRestore, Snapmirror, SnapVault, FlexVol, Flex clones, SnapDrive, and de-dup in addition to Operations Manager, and Snap Manager for Exchange.  (SQL and Oracle will be available soon). Customers can use our center to assist with demos and proof of concepts.
