Years ago, IBM’s brand and technology dominated the world and provided the gateway to the age of computing and data processing. Over the years, IBM has become the standard for enterprise class technology, a stalwart in the Fortune 1000 and the premium provider for many of the largest companies around the globe. Over time, many in the market have developed an idea that IBM is too robust for broad market application.

IBM has taken this to heart, and with their new Flash platform, change is here.

Modernization, Scalability, Interoperability

Today’s IBM is not your Father’s IBM. Today’s IBM is all about modernization, scalability and interoperability.

With the launch of their FlashSystem 5200, IBM is now accessible for organizations of all shapes and sizes. In a nutshell, IBM has distilled the entire weight of the IBM portfolio and industry dominated know-how into the most feature-rich Flash platform on the market…at entry level pricing!

What the Analysts are Saying…

Joe Kovar, Senior Editor, Computer Reseller News
IBM continues to impress with the overall capabilities of its FlashSystem portfolio.  The secret sauce that IBM embeds in its IBM’s FlashCore modules makes a world of difference.  IBM has been the benchmark for high-performance storage since it invented the storage industry nearly sixty years ago. The new IBM FlashSystem 5200 continues in that tradition, providing capabilities into the entry-level enterprise market that will be hard for its competitors to beat.

Scott Sinclair, Senior Analyst, ESG
With its new FlashSystem 5200, IBM has made a tremendous leap forward, packing impressive levels of performance and capacity into a 1U package. While capable enough for the data center, the form factor of the 5200 can offer transformational value for smaller organizations and edge locations.
